In addition to the bars and restaurants located on the promenade, there is a wider choice in the town centre, where you can enjoy delicious seafood dishes as well as well as being plenty for the meat-lover. Also in the town centre you will find all the other amenities that you might need including banks, solicitors, doctors, supermarkets, and schools. “La Ribera”, as it is more often referred to by the locals, is part of the larger municipality of San Javier, where you will find a wider choice of amenities, with everything you expect of a large town.

By car, the beaches of Lo Pagán and Torre de la Horadada are just over 5 and 15 minutes away respectively. Another 5 minutes to the north and you will find the beaches of Mil Palmeras and Campoamor, whereas head to the south for 5 minutes and you will be on the beaches of Los Narejos and Los Alcázares. At the beaches will you will also be able to partake in a wide variety of water sports and activities.

Santiago de la Ribera is located around 20 minutes from the large shopping centres at La Zenia Boulevard or the north or 20 minutes to the south is Espacio Mediterráneo in Cartagena. Closer to home, around 5 minutes away, is Dos Mares in nearby San Javier. These shopping complexes have multiscreen cinemas, 10 pin bowling alleys and many restaurants open all year.
