The area is just a short drive from Pilar de la Horadada which is a larger town with many more banks, schools, supermarkets etc.

Pinar de Campoverde (most commonly known as Campoverde) is a village set on a wooded hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Escalona mountains, 10 kms inland from Pilar de la Horadada with good views to the Mediterranean Sea.

The population of 3,000 residents include many northern European residents (ex-pats) living there. It is also a handy base for a holiday away from the busy coast.

The area is very popular with Spanish and ex-patriates alike, because of its proximity to the town of Pilar, and its closeness to the beaches on the Mediterranean.

Pinar de Campoverde enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, very hot in summer and protected  by the surrounding mountains against the cold north winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

The closest beaches are the Mediterranean Blue flag beaches at Torre de la Horadada. The calm waters and beaches of the Mar Manor are only a 10min car drive away at San Pedro del Pinatar. This Spanish beach resort also hosts the famous Lo Pagan mud baths, which are free to use and enjoy.

The golf course of Lo Romero is just a 2 minute drive away.
