Local Area and Amenities:

Lo Romero Golf Resort is built around a well established golf course located between the popular town of Pilar de la Horadada and  Pilar de Campoverde.

The Golf course is well known for its 18th Island Signature hole and is a popular draw for many golfers. There is a Clubhouse with a restaurant on the site and a golf driving range. There are plans to build a supermarket on the resort early in 2018. Although the resort is only in the early stages of it’s development, it is already proving to be popular with properties selling quickly, and is sure to become an exclusive and sought after location.

Pinar de Campoverde is just 2 minutes from the resort with its many restaurants and bars.

The town of Pilar de La Horadada is just 5 mins away.

Pilar is a traditional Spanish town and celebrates a number of local fiestas or festivals throughout the year, including the Medieval Market in April, Bonfires of San Juan in June together with the floral festival. The town is steeped in history and has its local fiesta or festival at the end of September culminating in a solemn mass on 12th October.
The town has many restaurants with an eclectic mix of cuisines on offer. These are located all along the main central street – Calle Mayor – which runs the entire length of the town. At the northern end of the town you will find the main town square (Plaza Iglesia) bordered by a number of cafes and the local church.
There are banks, supermarkets, cafes and many interesting shops in the town. There is a sports centre and a municipal indoor swimming pool for the cooler months.

The stunning blue flag beaches of Torre de la Horadada are just 10 minutes drive from these luxury villas. Here you will find wide long stretches of white sand bordering the Mediterranean. A promenade/walkway runs along the back of the sand dunes providing lovely walks between the beach bars and the marina at the north end of the resort. Torre de la Horadada has a wonderful relaxed beach side feel and the old town square hosts many cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine and a fantastic sea view.

The Dos Mares shopping and leisure complex in San Javier is a 10 min drive from the properties, and here you will find a Carrefour hypermarket alongside many boutique shops. Upstairs in the centre is a large food court, multi screen cinema and a 10 pin bowling alley.

This area enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world – neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.

Travel time from Murcia-San Javier Airport is about 15 mins, and from Alicante airport about 45 mins.
