Local Area and Amenities:

La Florida is a mainly residential area popular with ex-pats and holiday makers alike. There are many shops, bars and restaurants in the local area, many found centred around the Centro Commercial La Florida.

The beaches of Orihuela Costa including Punta Prima, La Zenia, Campoamor and Playa Flamenca are a few minutes away by car.

Nearby is the shopping and entertainment centre at La Zenia Boulevard. Alongside the many shops and supermarkets here, there is a large foodcourt serving an eclectic mix of cuisines, a children’s play area, ten pin bowling alley and a multi screen cinema complex.

Also nearby are the golf courses at Villamartin , Real Campoamor  and Las Ramblas.

A short drive north you will find Torrevieja. Here there are 2 waterparks to entertain the kids – old and young alike.

La Florida gives easy access to the N-332 national highway and the AP-7 Mediterranean motorway giving quick access up and down the coast from Alicante in the north to Cartagena in the south.
