Company History

Husband and wife team, Hugh and Fiona James, started Murcia Villas SL back in 2002 in a modest premises in the small village of Los Belones; close to the exclusive, and first, golf resort in Murcia: La Manga Club Resort.

Today, there are 4 Murcia Villas offices across the region, located in the towns of Balsicas, Los Belones, Pilar de la Horadada and Sucina.

The idea was not only to offer quality properties for sale, but also to provide professional rental and management service to people who already had bought property in Costa Cálida.

Murcia Villas has therefore had top quality houses or sale in Murcia Costa Calida since 2002.  There was a property crash in 2008 but the market has slowly been recovering over the past couple of years.  Now is a great time to buy however, as some properties are still priced at 50% below their market value in 2008.

March, 2008: MURCIA VILLAS opened “Murcia Villas La Torre”, with Chris and Jane Whent at the helm to cater for clients on La Torre Golf Resort, El Valle Golf Resort and Mosa Trajectum.

September, 2008: “Murcia Villas Sucina” opened their new office, from where John and Linda King provided clients in the Sucina area a full range of property sales and management services.

December, 2008: Chris and Jane Whent took over “Murcia Villas La Manga”, and moved in to the original MURCIA VILLAS office in Los Belones. With the help of long time Spanish staff-member, Florencia, the office has gone from strength-to-strength, and moved to yet larger premises in Los Belones in March 2009

October, 2009: John and Linda King expanded their Sucina area to include La Torre, El Valle and Mosa Trajectum, taking over the “Murcia Villas La Torre” office. To accommodate the increased volume of work, they opened their new office in Balsicas in February 2010.

October, 2010: “Murcia Villas Roda” opened in Roda, Murcia.

April, 2011: “Murcia Villas Sucina” opened their new office in the centre of the town Sucina.

October 2017:  Murcia Villas Pilar opened their new office in the centre of the town of Pilar de la Horadada.
